Stellantis, Société Générale, Caetano Squadra Africa sign agreement on vehicle sales, financing in Africa

Stellantis, in partnership with Paris-based bank Société Générale and vehicle distributor Caetano Squadra Africa, have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at facilitating the sale and financing of Stellantis vehicle sales in Africa.

Under this agreement, the parties undertake to work closely together to offer customers a comprehensive range of financial services.

This range of services includes loans, leasing and financial rental contracts, and the sale of complementary solutions such as insurance products.

Stellantis will also be able to offer subsidy programmes for commercial purposes, with the participation of Caetano, and in conjunction with Société Générale.

"This agreement aims to open up new prospects in the African automotive market by offering innovative financing solutions for Stellantis vehicles,” says Stellantis sub-Saharan Africa director Marc de Kergariou.

“The aim is to create even more value and opportunities for Stellantis customers and dealers in sub-Saharan Africa.”

Stellantis’ brands include Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Opel, Peugeot, Ram, Vauxhall, Free2move and Leasys.

Société Générale is a European bank serving 25-million clients in more than 60 countries.

The Salvador Caetano Group is headquartered in Portugal, and has a presence in more than 100 companies spread across Europe, Latin America and Africa. It has a global presence in 43 countries, selling more than a 150 000 vehicles a year.
