Lithium producer Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile (SQM) has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI).
The DJSi, compiled by S&P Dow Jones Indices comprises global sustainability leaders. It represents the top 10% of the largest 2 500 companies in the S&P Global BMI, based on long-term economic, environmental and social criteria.
SQM says its inclusion into the DJSI represents further evidence of the company’s industry-leading sustainability practices.
SQM is proud to be the first lithium producer and only the second Chilean company to feature in the global index, it says.

This represents a significant milestone in our pursuit to become the world's most sustainable lithium producer and an indicator of the highest levels of responsible production across our business lines.
