Project Description
The Springs Mall at Blue Crane Eco Park entails the development of a 52 000 m2, two-level mall in the greater Springs area, in Ekurhuleni, in the east of Gauteng.

The project will draw R300-million to R500-million retail revenue being spent elsewhere, as the region remains underserved.

The mall is expected to offer a complete shopping experience, with two national supermarket chains as anchor tenants, complemented by two large national fashion retailers. There will also be fashion, homeware, health and beauty, gift and décor outlets, as well as restaurants.

Duration
The mall is set to open its doors in 2016.

Latest Developments
The project broke ground on June 18.

Between 500 and 700 jobs will be created during the construction phase, with a further 1 200 to 1 500 sustainable jobs to be created upon opening.
