Name and Location
South Santa Cruz and Barataria fields development project, Gulf of Mexico, US.

Deep Gulf Energy III (DGE).

Project Description
The South Santa Cruz and Barataria oil- and gasfields are located in waters 2 000 m deep. South Santa Cruz will be developed as a one-well operation, but the subsea flowline and umbilical are designed to accommodate an additional well if needed.

The project will develop oil reserves using a subsea well tied back to the Chevron-operated Blind Faith floating production system (FPS), in Mississippi Canyon Block 650. The oil and gas will be metered subsea, near the well, then separated and dehydrated on the FPS, and sold and routed through separate existing pipelines to shore.
