Steel producer ArcelorMittal South Africa (AMSA) has appointed Siphamandla Mthethwa as CFO and executive director, effective July 1, or sooner if circumstances allow.
Mthethwa is currently CFO of Airports Company South Africa and is expected to finish his contract on June 30, or an earlier date that has yet to be negotiated.
AMSA interim CFO Suretha van Wyk will continue to serve in that role until Mthethwa assumes his position.
Mthethwa is a qualified chartered accountant and has completed the Advanced Management Programme at the Harvard Business School and the CFO Executive Programme at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
He has more than 20 years financial experience, which includes significant experience as a financial executive with broad strategic and financial leadership responsibilities.
