Industrial equipment and systems multinational Siemens has launched its Digital Enterprise series of solutions, each of which caters for specific industry verticals. The systems were designed using industry-expertise and the latest digital industrial systems. Schalk Burger has the story.

The aim of Siemens’ Digital Enterprise solutions is to create an ecosystem for manufacturers, suppliers and service providers across a value chain from raw materials to end use. This allows supply chain partners to access information and tools, often in the form of apps, to more effectively and efficiently create value for their clients and end users.
Siemens digital industry senior VP Ralf Leinen provides an overview of its MindSphere industrial cloud platform, which provides a secure repository and platform for industry experts, specialists and companies to gather data, analyse it, make robust, fact-based decisions and share information to improve efficiencies, quality and value creation.
