Project Description
The project involves the construction of a 10 MW PV project on 18 ha in the Aqaba special economic zone of the Governorate of Aqaba, in the south of Jordan.

The project will comprise 814 PV power arrays, with 40 300 multicrystalline PV panels and a capacity of 12.2 kWp.

All power arrays will be connected through underground cables to the on-site switchgear, which will connect through a 6 km, 30 kV overhead transmission line to an existing substation in the Aqaba thermal power station.

The cost of the project is estimated at $20-million.

Duration
Construction on the project is expected to start next month and be completed in April 2015.
