Project Description
Sharp Hills Wind Farm will have an installed capacity of up to 300 MW – enough to power about 160 000 average Alberta homes with clean energy each year.

The wind farm will be built in two phases.

Phase 1 will comprise 59 wind turbines of 4.2 MW each and Phase 2 twelve turbines.

Potential Job Creation
The project will create about 300 construction jobs, and up to 15 to 20 permanent jobs during the operational life of the project.

Capital Expenditure
The project will cost about $480-million to construct.

Planned Start/End Date
Completion is  expected in 2020.
