On the 10th June 2016, the S.A. Medical & Education Foundation will be hosting a donor awards evening at the One & Only hotel in Cape Town. This annual event is hosted in honour of the donors who contributed throughout the previous year and to showcase the amazing transformations that the Foundation completed in the Health and Education sectors of South Africa. On this night we will be giving a special thanks to our corporate partners who made these transformations possible, companies receiving awards on the night are Engen Petroleum, Truworths, General Electric, Aard Mining and Adcock Ingram to name just a few.
This year we will be celebrating over R15 million in transformations performed nationally. The event will be MC’d by popular South African Comedian, Virgil Prins and will have two influential speakers on the night, the Deputy Public Protector Kevin Sifiso Malunga and the Western Cape Minister of Education MEC Debbie Schäfer.
Other media celebrities attending this event include the likes of Mishka Patel (Passela - SABC) and Jade Hubner (Top Billing).
The only viable solution to our enormous challenge to provide and improve Public Health care and Education is to form closer relationships and co-operation between the public sector and the private sector. Events like “Night of the Stars” is the perfect platform to showcase what partnerships like these can achieve.
