Rotary table shot blast machine: what it is and how it works

Shot blasting is a technique used to clean, reinforce (by shot peening) or polish various types of material, especially metals. The versatility of this method is so impressive that it is also used to achieve artistic effects on glass, stone, marble and wood.

A shot blast machine is used, especially in industry, in reference sectors and markets that are also very diverse: from the automotive industry to the steel, aviation and railway industries. Two techniques are used: turbine or air SHOT BLASTING. It is also necessary to choose from various types of shots depending on the surface that needs to be treated and the end result required.

How does it work? The material to be cleaned or polished is placed on the rotary table, which, when moving, exposes the parts at the sides and top of the object to the blasting action of shots coming from turbines.
