Rhodes Food expects uptick in FY earnings

JSE-listed Rhodes Food expects its earnings per share (EPS) and headline earnings per share (HEPS) for the year ended September 25 to be between 67% and 72% higher than the comparative period of 2015.

The company expects to report EPS of between 128.8c and 132.6c, up from 77.1c in the prior year.

Further, it expects its HEPS to be between 129.3c and 133.1c, up from 77.4c posted in the same period in 2015.

Normalised earnings, excluding the one-off listing costs of R21.8-million in the 2015 period, are expected to be between 128.8c and 133.1c apiece, 48% to 53% higher than the 87c it posted in the prior year.

The group’s financial results for the year will be released on November 21.
