General Motors has installed 18 fast chargers for its Cruise self-driving car unit at a parking facility on San Francisco’s Embarcadero, a busy boulevard along the Californian city’s eastern shoreline. General Motors has created its own ride-hailing platform and is aiming to get its self-driving car unit ready to enter the robo-taxi business next year.
