Repair and maintenance service provider assists a town in distress

1st July 2016

The residents of Modimolle (Limpopo Province) were without power since Friday 10 June. One of the main incomer substations servicing the town tripped and the local municipality called on WPI to assist them to restore power. Working through the night the WPI team managed to restore power to some of the town in the early hours of the morning. It was determined that there was extensive work to be done on the cable network to bring it up to standard. The entire town was re-energized on Sunday 19 June at 6 pm according to Dewald Loretz, the Operations Director who visited the site. “This is not the first time we have assisted the town, and WPI are always glad to assist”.
