President Jacob Zuma climbing aboard one of the 85 electric locomotives produced at Transnet’s manufacturing and engineering facility in Koedoespoort, Pretoria. The locomotive is one of the 95 electric locomotives that Transnet has bought from a consortium led by China South Rail. The R2.7-billion contract was awarded in 2012.
