JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – The Richards Bay Coal Terminal (RBCT) exported about 4.49-million tons of coal during February, as opposed to 4.57-million tons in January, the terminal reported on Thursday.
The majority, or 58%, of the coal exported in February headed to Asia, followed by Europe at 36.5%, Africa at 4.3% and South America at 1.2%.
RBCT, the single largest export coal terminal in the world, had 3.38-million tons of stock at the end of the month.
