Established in 2006, Gauteng-based RamPiping Systems is a supplier, fabricator and installer of HDPE and fibreglass epoxy pipe, with customers in South Africa and beyond the country’s borders.

The 35-employee company’s premises, at 131 Struben street, in Alrode South, east of Johannesburg, include 600 m2 of office space and a 1 000 m2 workshop, which is equipped with three thermoplastic bending ovens and more than 12 thermoplastic welding machines, ranging from 75 mm to 1 200 mm.

The products that RamPiping supplies, manufactures and installs are made using HDPE pipe and fittings from reputable South African companies and imported fibreglass pipe and fittings.

While the company is not ISO accredited, its owner, who is a quality auditor, ensures that ISO 9001:2008 quality management system guidelines are adhered to.

The major contracts that the company has been awarded since the beginning of the year include the supply of product worth R10-million to the Kibali, Liberty and Kinsenda mines, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It has also been contracted to supply pipes worth R6-million and R5-million to a client in Liberia and a mine in Limpopo respectively. RamPiping’s order book currently stands at R28-million.
