The UK Green Investment Bank (GIB) has acquired a €327-million stake in the project.

Project Description
The project will have the capacity to generate 400 MW of electricity and is expected to generate 1 300 GWh/y of renewable-energy, enough to supply the equivalent of up to 300 000 homes. The development will also reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 600 000 t/y.

The project will comprise one-hundred and sixteen 3.45 MW wind turbines in water depths of 19 m to 40 m, associated foundations, an offshore substation and cabling.

E.ON will provide construction, operations and maintenance, as well as energy management services for the project. This includes the delivery of connection to the national grid with marine export cables to shore, about 26 km of onshore cables and onshore grid substation assets.
