South African cement producer PPC has appointed Salim Abdul Kader as group COO with immediate effect.
Previously occupying the role of MD of the South African operations, Kader would now be responsible for all group and head office human resource functions, as well as the group’s branding strategy and corporate communications.
He has been employed by PPC for nine years and has served on the company’s board since 2005.
The cement producer said in a statement that his new role was aligned with its strategy of streamlining its corporate structure.
