Japanese equipment provider Hitachi Power Tools (HPT) announced the addition of the EC99S, a portable twin stack compressor, to its air compressor range in April. The company maintains that this compressor is ideal for contractors seeking a combination of convenience and durability from an air compressor.
The 4 gal compressor weighs less than 24 kg and is easy to transport to and around any job site, owing to its ergonomic handle. The EC99S features a powerful 15 A direct drive induction motor for efficient and reliable performance, and the motor also incorporates thermal overload protection that stops the unit from overheating. The 4 gal twin stack delivers a cast iron, oil-lubricated pump for cooler operation during difficult applications.
The industrial air pressure gauges are encased in steel for higher durability and the EC99S compressor also includes a ball valve drain cock for quick and easy tank draining, a protected pressure switch, shock absorbing feet and a factory-installed universal quick coupler. The EC99S ships complete with a bottle of synthetic oil and an oil dipstick. It can run multiple nailers depending on the applications.
