Piping systems provider offers comprehensive HDPE solution

HDPE PIPING SOLUTIONS Sinvac Piping supplies its HDPE products and services to the market through a number of distribution channels

Over the past three years, piping systems provider Sinvac Piping has emerged as a ‘one-stop-shop’ for all high-density polyethylene (HDPE) piping solutions, which has provided the South African piping manu- facturing company with a significant competitive advantage over other manufacturers in the industry, says Sinvac Piping MD Kobus van Dyk.

The company supplies its HDPE services to the market through a number of distribution channels, such as manufacturing, fabricating, trading, installing, merchant services and project managing.

Van Dyk tells Engineering News that the company’s capacity for and approach to supplying HDPE piping systems has given it a unique profile in terms of it being one of a few original-equipment manufacturers that provide a comprehensive support service.

“Generally, customers have to source their piping solutions from a number of companies; however, Sinvac provides everything under one roof. We manufacture the HDPE pipes and the fittings, and do the installations.”

From a project perspective, the company provides project management services that include contract management, scheduling and planning, he adds.

“This provides Sinvac’s clients with added benefits, flexibility and cost effectiveness. Clients can save a lot of time and money on their projects, owing to reduced administration that comes from dealing with a single supplier as opposed to several suppliers,” notes Sinvac Piping sales and marketing manager Mariana Strydom.

Sinvac’s New Spiral Pipe

The company added an HDPE spiral pipe, or structured wall to its piping systems solutions and began manufacturing it in July 2015.

Strydom notes that the HDPE pipe is a good alternative to traditional piping systems materials, such as concrete, corrugated metal pipes and polyvinylchloride, providing clients with a system that is more flexible and easier to install.

According to Sinvac, the HDPE pipe represents the latest advancements in material and manufacturing technology.

It can also be applied in stormwater management, sewerage pipelines, waste gas ducts, and drainage pipeline applications.

The lightweight engineered pipe can also be applied in various gravity and low-pressure applications in the municipal and industrial sectors as well as for the rehabilitation of marine pipelines.

Further, Sinvac has a fully equipped plastics fabrication workshop located in Pretoria, Gauteng, that specialises in the fabrication of HDPE manholes that are manufactured according to specific clients’ requirements.

“Sinvac has the capacity to manufacture and supply at a competitive price spiral that ranges from 300 mm to 1 200 mm, with a ring stiffness of between 4 kN/m2 and 8 kN/m2,” adds Strydom.
