The State-owned Petroleum Oil and Gas Corporation of South Africa (PetroSA) has appointed acting COO Sesakho Magadla as acting group CEO effective immediately.

This follows former acting CEO Sandisiwe Ncemane’s return to the Central Energy Fund (CEF).

The company advises that a permanent group CEO appointment is imminent.

PetroSA continues to implement a turnaround strategy, as approved by its shareholders CEF and the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy.

A critical part of the entity’s turnaround plan is to restore its gas loop and liquids refinery in Mossel Bay to full production, following three years of suspended production.
