State-owned power provider Eskom on Thursday said no load-shedding would be implemented for the first part of the day, as there was enough electricity generating capacity to meet demand.
“The power system is stable at present but is expected to be constrained during the evening peak period. We will keep [the public] updated on the state of the power system and advise the public accordingly should the need to load-shed in the evening arise,” it noted.
