Project Description
The first phase of the project involves the construction of a 230 000 m3 storage facility.

The facility will be used to store all the petroleum products, except crude oil and liquefied natural gas.

Land is available to expand the facility to 720 000 m3, if required.

On Budget and on Time?
The project has been experiencing delays, owing to the National Energy Regulator of South Africa’s tariff model not working for projects requiring new capital outlay, says Grindod CEO Alan Olivier.

New tariff regulations are expected to be announced in May this year, which will allow for the construction of the facility.
