Company Announcement - Specialist pump company AESPUMP has launched SundSeal, the new gearbox output seal from Sundyne Corporation. Designed to ensure the continued high reliability of Sundyne integrally geared pumps and compressors, SundSeal is purpose built to minimise leakage and increase the mean time between repairs.
It is being claimed as the most durable seal yet produced, with a highly improved performance underpinned by more than 20 000 hours of combined factory and laboratory testing. SundSeal features a robust interface that reduces leakage by providing a harder contact surface with less friction, effectively controlling seal face condition for a longer, more durable life by running at a lower temperature and reducing leaks. When configured with pressure management and proper lubrication, it greatly improves overall operational efficiencies and return on investment.
Robust and easy to maintain, SundSeal is immediately available from Gauteng-based AESPUMP, either as a complete product or as part of a retrofitted Reliability Assurance Kit upgrade to an existing gearbox seal. New Sundyne gearbox upgrades include a new output seal, new breather and bearing plate, a bolt-in uni‑directional lubrication pump, relief valve and input shaft, a bi-directional lubrication pump with rotation plate, and API compliant input and idler shaft bearings.
