JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Mineral sands company MZI Resources, which is developing the Keysbrook project in Western Australia, has appointed John Westdorp its new CFO.
Westdorp joins MZI from ASX-listed Centaurus Metals, where he held the role of CFO from late 2012. Prior roles include MD of resources consulting group OptiroCapital, CFO of Murchison Metals and GM for finance for Burrup Fertilisers.
“John’s extensive financial management expertise will be a tremendous asset for MZI as we look beyond the commencement of production at our flagship Keysbrook mineral sands project later this year,” MD Trevor Matthews commented in a statement.
MZI reported last week that construction at Keysbrook was 65% complete and that commissioning would start in November.
