Telecommunications giant MTN has appointed Mteto Nyati as successor to outgoing MTN South Africa CEO Ahmad Farroukh.
Nyati, who assumed the top position on Monday amid an eight-week-long strike by employees, joined MTN as group chief enterprise officer in October last year.
Farroukh, who was appointed in August 2014, resigned earlier this month owing to “unavoidable personal and family reasons”.
