The project involves the construction of a 51 MW wind farm, comprising eight wind turbines at 79 m hub height and seven at 93 m hub height.

The different hub heights will allow for the wind farm to take full advantage of variable wind speeds. The wind farm will produce enough electricity to power more than 33 000 homes.

The project was successful in the UK government’s first competitive Contracts for Difference programme for onshore and offshore projects in 2015.
