Meet Maxx, the new Polo Vivo

South Africa’s best-selling passenger car in 2012, the Uitenhage made Polo Vivo, has been expanded with the addition of the sized-up derivative named Maxx.

Volkswagen of South Africa sold 34 873 of its entry-level Polo Vivos in 2012.

The Polo Vivo Maxx derivative is offered in the hatch body version only and has number of features that differentiate it from its siblings.
Exterior features include raised suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels, painted exterior mirrors, twin exhaust tailpipes and aluminum roof rails.

Inside Polo Vivo Maxx has pedals with aluminum inserts, a centre console in titanium paint, front electric windows, manual air-conditioning, a three-spoke leather steering wheel with chrome insert and grey stitching, radio/CD/MP3/Bluetooth player with four speakers and floor mats with grey stitching.

The Polo Vivo Maxx is powered by a 1.6 l, 77 kW engine that is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

Safety and security features include driver and front passenger airbags, an antilock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, as well as an immobiliser and central locking.

The retail price is R160 300.
