Malawi’s Ministry of Health is inviting bids from African and Arab firms for the construction of the Phalombe district hospital, in south of the country.

The project will be financed using loans the Malawi government has secured from the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa and the Saudi Fund for Development for the improvement of healthcare delivery.

Interested bidders may obtain further information and inspect bidding documents from the procuring entity through its representative, Norman & Dawbarn Chartered Architects, of Lilongwe, Malawi, on payment of a nonrefundable fee of $300.

The bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 1% of the total bid price in the currency of the bid.
The deadline for the submission of bids is May 11.
