AECI has made Edwin Ludick’s appointment as MD of its AEL Mining Services subsidiary permanent.
Ludick had been acting in this position since May 15, following AECI executive committee member and AEL Mining Services MD Schalk Venter’s resignation to take up a position at Afrox.
Ludick joined Chemical Services as a human resources manager in 1991, and was appointed to this group subsidiary’s executive committee in 2008 and to its board in January 2010. He joined AECI’s executive committee later in 2010.
Ludick had also served as MD at four companies in the group’s specialty chemicals cluster and as chairperson of several others. He was currently also a member of AECI’s Specialty Chemicals executive committee.
He has a BCom (Hons) degree from the University of South Africa.
