GE Renewable Energy has signed a $56-million contract with China Yalong River Hydropower Development to provide the six hydrogenerator and auxiliary equipment for the project. GE’s Hydro Solutions will provide the equipment design, manufacturing, supervision of the installation, commissioning and testing on site, as well as various site services during the execution phase. The first unit is planned to be commissioned by 2021.
