Project Description
The project involves the construction of a 350 MW natural-gas-fired GTCC generation system for Unit 11 of the Lamma power station.

The work is part of a large-scale project under way in line with the government authority’s policy of targeting the expansion of Hong Kong’s ratio of gas-fired power generation as a way of reducing the environmental impact.

Once in operation, the new facility will respond to Hong Kong Island’s robust power demand.

Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) has received an order for the GTCC power generation system equipment for Unit 11. Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) is the main contractor.

The main equipment in the GTCC power generation facility includes gas and steam turbines, a heat recovery steam generator and an air quality control system.

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation will supply the generator.
