Project Description
The project involves the construction of a primary school that can accommodate up to 1 240 learners, including 120 Grade R learners. 12 intermediate phase, four senior phase and four Grade R), two multipurpose classrooms and a science laboratory.

The school will also have a hall and an administration building.

A borehole will also be drilled to reduce the municipal water requirements of the construction process.

Potential Job Creation
The project will use labour-intensive methods, which will provide a limited number of short-term jobs as well as skills-training opportunities for local people.

About R18.3-million will be spent on sub-contractor businesses and R4.8-million on local suppliers.

The project is estimated at R64-million.

Duration
The project started construction in September this year and is expected to be completed in late 2019.
