Kipor Forklift “Off-Roaded”

Company Announcement -  Well-known Delmas sheep and seed farmer Frikkie Rossouw needed help urgently. His problem was that his forklift, used mainly to off-load fertilizer bags, simply could not do the job properly because the terrain was too rough! Enter Suneé Heyns, Smith Power Equipment Kipor sales executive, Hennie Breytenbach from Kipor dealer Agriquip and Hennie Hattingh from Tubestone, well-known tyre and tube distributor, and the problem was solved quickly and efficiently!

“We needed to convert the tyres from standard to off-road,” says Heyns. “But this is not as straightforward as it sounds with a forklift. In this regard the Tubestone engineers did a great job,” she says. The size and dimensions of the BKT POWER TRAX HD tyres and rims, which included a purpose-designed rim guard to protect against flats and wheel damage in the rim flange areas, were meticulously calculated to ensure they met the required specifications demanded by the forklift. “While the superior blend of silica and natural rubber of the BKT POWER TRAX HD tyres ensure chip and tear resistance, the extra deep tread offers sufficient traction for the Kipor forklift to work in the challenging off-road conditions on Rossouw’s farm.

“We are pleased to be able to assist our customers in this way. But for the Kipor team, going the extra mile is standard,” says Heyns. Kipor forklifts are distributed throughout South Africa by SPE with full after sales service, support and a full range of spare parts. SPE makes it easy for customers to get a one-stop forklift service no matter what the need or requirement is and its Kipor electric and diesel forklifts have developed a world-wide reputation for reliability and longevity.
