Kaduna state has an electricity access rate of 37%.

The construction of the solar plant will strengthen northern Nigeria’s electricity network and improve the electricity access rate in the region.

The project involves the construction of a 50 MW solar PV plant.

The solar farm will feed the grid with 95 GWh/y of clean power and prevent the emission of 354 000 t/y of carbon dioxide.

Jobs to Be Created
Three-hundred jobs are expected to be created during construction, and 25 permanent jobs will be created for the operation and maintenance of the plant.
