TSX-listed Ivanhoe Mines has assured that its operations at the Kamoa-Kakula Copper Complex, in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), continue as normal, with major shipments being done from the mine gate, despite a third-party labour dispute.

This follows reports by news wires Reuters and Bloomberg earlier this week that a strike by truckers in the country was preventing the export of copper and cobalt mined in the DRC.

Ivanhoe says its management is working proactively with the DRC government and local authorities to mitigate any potential interim effects on outbound shipping, but the company does not anticipate any material impact on the Kamoa-Kakula operations.
