Project Description
The project involves the construction of a 254 MWp solar PV plant on 550 ha, the estimated energy production of which will be about 500 GWh/y.

The PV panels will feature single-axis trackers to enable the modules to change positions during the day, depending on the position of the sun, to maximise output.

Ituverava is the largest solar power plant under construction in Brazil and will be one of the largest in the world when completed.

Jobs to be Created
More than 500 people will be involved in the construction of the project.

Value
EGP will be investing about $400-million in the project.

Duration
Construction is expected to be completed by 2017.

Latest Developments
Brazil’s largest solar plant is taking shape. Enerray is in charge of the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and operation and maintenance (O&E) of the solar installation. An estimated 31 893 poles were installed at the end of June and a further 133 280 are expected to be installed.
