Interface Chief Sees End-Result Of KBAC’s ‘’Determined Efforts’’

Rob Boogaard, The Netherlands-based CEO and President of the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region of Interface - the world’s largest producer of sustainable modular flooring - recently accompanied a team from KBAC Flooring, which distributes Interface flooring in South Africa, on a site visit to the new Sasol head office premises now under construction in Sandton.

Rob was visiting South Africa to be one of the key speakers at the Green Building Council of South Africa’s annual conference, and took the opportunity to see the futuristic 10-storey building in Katherine Street, for which Interface flooring was called for by the project's interior designers, Paragon Interface.

Interface's “Best Won Sales Project Trophy for 2015” for the company’s EMEA region was subsequently awarded to KBAC for the South African company’s  “persistent and determined” efforts to meet the complex and highly innovative flooring requirements for the Sasol head office. As Rob had personally played a part in assisting KBAC’s Interface consultant, Lesley Fidrmuc, and her team in developing the custom-made carpet tiles for the Sasol flooring, the Interface chief was particularly interested in – and impressed with - the end-result.

Members of the Paragon Interface design team accompanied the KBAC team on the site visit.
