Project Description
The project involves the construction of Hyundai Motors’ fourth plant in China.

The Changzhou factory, built on a 1.92-million-square-metre site with 250 000 m2 of floor space, will be fully equipped with a press shop, and body, paint and assembly lines, in addition to an engine plant.

Hyundai will use high-tech automotive manufacturing facilities and knowledge to make Changzhou a smart, environment-friendly factory. A recycling system, including the recycling of gas emissions, water and waste discharge, will also be implemented at the new factory.

The plant will produce 200 000 strategic small cars for Hyundai. The plans are to expand capacity to 300 000 units in 2018.
