Hyundai extends warranty to seven years

EXTENDED WARRANTY Hyundai’s face lifted H1 Bus also falls under the seven year/200 000 km warranty

Korean motor vehicle manufacturer Hyundai Automotive South Africa (HASA) has extended its manufacturer’s warranty to ensure better resale value.

The Bedfordview-based company has implemented a long, five year/150 000 km warranty period since 2007. Moreover the company, which sold around 4.96-million vehicles worldwide in 2014, has implemented a new seven year/200 000 km warranty on all new vehicles as of this month.

HASA marketing director Stanley Anderson states that the extended warranty period bears testimony to the trust the company places in its products.

“Our cars’ quality and reliability have established excellent resale value over the years, and many thousands of Hyundai customers and drivers can vouch for the peace of mind that our products bring,” Anderson says.

All vehicles in the passenger range, as well as commercial vehicles, such as the updated H-1 Panel Van, H-1 Multicab and H100, are covered, while items such as the timing chain, cylinder block, head gasket, cylinder head, crank case, turbocharger, water pump, flywheel and engine mountings also fall under the warranty. Transmission parts, such as the pressure plate and the torque converter, are also covered in the manual and automatic gearboxes.

“The new, extended warranty fits in with Hyundai’s mission, which is to become a trusted lifetime partner to our customers by bringing a new perspective to automobiles through innovation,” Anderson concludes.
