Huge Telecom grows business in past financial year

JSE-listed Huge Telecom continued to grow its distribution capabilities during the year ended February 28, with the number of business partners increasing by 136, or 47%.

Huge Telecom’s connectivity services, which were distributed mainly to small and medium enterprises, now served about 9 800 customers.

Average monthly sales of telephone lines increased during the year from an average of 689 units during 2014 to an average of 1 044 units during year under review.

During the past fiscal year, Huge Telecom also reduced churn from an average of 281 units a month, while the average customer life of all its existing customers was 6.43 years.

Further, the company highlighted that its revenue increased marginally by 0.5%, to R204.59-million, as a result of the sales and churn activity in prior periods.

Huge Telecom has also been successful in increasing its fixed annuity income to a variable annuity income ratio. The fixed annuity income consisted of channel management fees, on-account fees, site management fees and line rentals, which were all protected from price compression and, in fact, escalated yearly.
