South African seed selection for research and development company Sunchem’s solaris crop has started locally for the first time since its official launch in 2014. The long-term goal of the initiative, known as Project Solaris, is to set up a local biojet fuel refinery in South Africa, which will meet government’s objectives for rural economic development, job creation and local manufacturing.
