Project Description
The project forms part of the World Bank-funded Corumana water supply system and will include three new drinking-water centres, a mains pipework, primary and secondary distribution lines, as well as nearly 1 000 km of tertiary network and more than 120 000 household connections.

The project’s total cost is estimated at $178-million.

Duration
Construction is expected to start at the end of this year.

Latest Developments
Royal HaskoningDHV and Vitens Evides International (VEI) are preparing the detailed design and tender documents for the system.

The Netherlands government signed a grant arrangement estimated at more than Ä20-million in November, which will fund the execution of the project to supply potable water.
