Fraser-Moleketi, Mphatlane to join Exxaro board

Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi, Mark Moffett and Isaac Mphatlane will join diversified miner Exxaro Resources’ board, following the retirement of directors Len Konar, Con Fauconnier and Saleh Mayet at the miner’s annual general meeting on Thursday.

Fraser-Moleketi is a fellow of the Institute of Politics, Kennedy School of Government, at Harvard University, and has completed a leadership course at Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania.

She is also Chancellor of Nelson Mandela University and serves as a nonexecutive director on the board of Standard Bank Group, as well as at Standard Bank South Africa.

Moffett is a chartered accountant with more than five years of public company board exposure and over 25 years of financial and commercial experience in the mining industry.

Mphatlane is a co-founder, shareholder and director of Randvest Group and a member of the Black Management Forum, the Electronics Industries Federation of South Africa and the Black Information Technology Forum.

He was also a co-founder of BCX.

“The newly appointed directors will bring a richness and diversity of skills to augment the board in its leadership of the business and Exxaro’s 2026 strategy. We look forward to their contribution,” Exxaro said in a statement on Wednesday.
