Foster Wheeler awarded Sasol Temane electrical expansion EPCM contract

A subsidiary of global engineering and construction company and power equipment supplier Foster Wheeler has been awarded the engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) contract for the electrical expansion and fuel gas superheater project aimed at expanding the electric generation capacity of Sasol’s Temane gas processing facility, in Mozambique.

The project, which was scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2016, would expand the facility’s electric generation capacity through the addition of a new gas turbine-driven electric generator and a new gas superheater.

“Foster Wheeler designed and built the original central processing facility at Temane and has safely and successfully completed other projects at this facility,” Foster Wheeler global engineering and construction group CEO Roberto Penno commented.

The value of the EPCM contract was not disclosed.
