Johannesburg-based forklift sales and rental company Action Equipment Company (AEC) won its second generator and forklift supplier Kipor Dealership of the Year award in a row, in November last year, following sales of over 50 Kipor forklifts in 2014.
Kipor South Africa GM Tom Bloom notes that it has been a privilege dealing with AEC, as the company’s “expertise and ours make a formidable team in the forklift industry”.
“We can offer our customers the best in terms of quality and pricing. “They can choose to rent a new Kipor forklift with full maintenance included or to purchase the machine,” says AEC marketing manager Yolanda Jeffries.
She adds that by having its own specialist forklift workshops, offering a 24/7 breakdown service, operating its own roll-back vehicles, having service agents countrywide and its years of cumulative experience, AEC is able to offer a comprehensive service to its customers. “However, the icing on the cake is being able to represent Kipor throughout South Africa.”
Johannesburg-based equipment import and distribution company Smith Power Equipment (SPE) first introduced AEC to the Kipor forklift range three years ago. “The fact that SPE has provided the best possible service and backup support has made a palpable difference to our business,” highlights Jeffries.
In the three years that AEC has been a Kipor dealer, it has bought more than 100 Kipor forklifts from SPE. However, Jeffries notes that the company approached the introduction of the Kipor range of forklifts with some scepticism. “We move cautiously in our business, which has been a major reason for our success. So, when we were first introduced to the Kipor product, while it gave an excellent first impression of quality, we still needed to test the equipment ourselves. The fact that Kipor was being distributed by SPE was the deciding factor for us to take it on and prove it was a great product.
“After just a few days of trials and testing, AEC knew that it had found what it had been looking for for a number of years. Both the diesel- and battery-powered forklifts are solidly built and their user-friendly design and operator layout and reliability are phenomenal,” Jeffries points out.
AEC started adding the Kipor range into its own forklift rental fleet of over 300, but soon they were selling Kipor products to a wide range of businesses in different industries. Subsequently, AEC was cleared by Kipor and SPE to become an authorised Kipor dealer in 2012.
