Johannesburg based turnkey energy solutions company, Hanonox, has recently completed a 312kWp solar project for major South African hardware manufacturer, Eureka DIY Solutions. The project is a combination of two systems – 92kWp and 220kWp – generated by advanced JA Solar modules and Huawei inverters installed at the 35 000 m² factory in Roodepoort.

Completed in July this year, the new system will more than halve the hardware company’s electricity bill. “The key factors that we considered during the design phase of this project was to reduce their electrical bill by 60% and reduce diesel fuel usage during power outages. I am pleased that we have met these objectives for Eureka,” says Nathan Bergemann, Director of Hanonox.

He adds that due to its numerous financial and environmental benefits, the demand for renewable energy is on the rise. As a result, alternative power solutions are becoming increasingly affordable and accessible, including finance options with zero capital investment or risk – offering immediate bottom-line savings for South African businesses.
