Engen Edgemead supports Bothasig Community Policing Forum

Engen Edgemead Convenience Centre in Edgemead Drive, Cape Town re-launched  last week after a brief construction period, sporting a new canopy.

Edgemead CC dealer Luzuko Tseku says, to celebrate the service station’s re-launch and demonstrate its commitment to community involvement and social upliftment, R4000 was handed over to the Bothasig Community Policing Forum towards their school feeding scheme project.

“We wanted to show our support for the Bothasig Community Policing Forum  because safety on the forecourt is a priority for us. We want to ensure that motorists have peace of mind when shopping, drawing money from the ATM or filling up.”
As part of the opening celebration, customers enjoyed a pop-a-balloon promotion with great prizes including mini valets and Quickshop hampers.

General manager of Engen Sales & Marketing, Joe Mahlo, commented: “We welcome this show of community support. Engen encourages and supports our dealers to get involved with their local communities and social upliftment initiatives.”

Efforts by Engen to put the customer first have been recognised consistently over the last few years. The company retained its ranking as the ‘Coolest Petroleum Brand’ for the third successive year in the Sunday Times Generation Next Youth Survey in 2013, which tracks youths’ consumer preferences and behaviour. In the same year it also scooped the Sunday Times ‘Top Brands’ award for the third consecutive year.
