Engen and SuperSport United, join the PinkDrive to raise cancer awareness

Engen and their football partners SuperSport United, along with the PinkDrive association have joined forces to raise awareness around breast cancer. The plight of men and women fighting breast cancer is ongoing; consequently, Engen and SuperSport United along with the Pink Drive association will be activating free testing and information workshops for men and women at the Montclair Mall on Saturday, January 20, 2018.

The Engen/SuperSport United, PinkDrive testing stations will be operating from 10h30. Engen and SuperSport United PinkDrive Ambassadors, local football legends Thabo September and Jabu Mahlangu, will be onsite to engage with the public.

September says he is honoured to raise awareness for the cause. “As early detection is critical to saving lives, testing takes only two minutes and may be the most important two minutes of your life,” comments the former SuperSport United defender. “Although October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the fight against this disease is too important to restrict activations to only one month of the year,” he adds.

Engen representative Brad Bergh extended thanks to SuperSport United for participating in the initiative. “As Engen, we are proud of our partnership with SuperSport United and their commitment as our partners to making a difference within the communities in which we operate.

“We are always looking at community benefitting projects to support. Soccer has provided us with a platform to give back and assist in building happy, sustainable communities,” adds Bergh.
