Logbar CEO Takuro Yoshida, holding the company’s ‘Ring’ wearable device, which effectively transforms the wearer’s finger into a digital wand. By tracing a dollar sign in the air, for instance, the Ring can communicate with other devices to pay for items. It enables a wearer to control televisions and even write air-to-device text messages. The Tokyo-based start-up developing the Ring expects to release it later this year.
